Where are the books?

I don't have any. I have done a lot but don't know if I did them all because I didn't keep track! I lost my list! Oh, dear! I did send my books on to Diane but I don't see her name on the blog!

Mea Culpa

I just sent 2 books to Lynda. If you're interested, read about my shameful behavior on my blog.
I apologize to you all and will banish myself from round robins.

Got Books?

A couple of weeks ago, I received 2 books. I am sorry it has taken me so long to write about it. But, one of those books was Lynda's and the other was mine. I love my book. Thank you to everyone who worked on it. Betsy, I love the Angelina and the sparkle. Jan - that's so cool how you did the center of the pansy and I love the 4 leaf clovers. Diane - your writing is so powerful and meaningful. Ellen - The geometric shapes and the hand-stitching are like doors to secret thoughts. Lynda - the batik fish is so unusual and did you do those bottlecaps yourself? And Jo - i think I am going to start signing my quilts like you do.

So Lynda - Start checking your mail for your book. I hope you're as happy as I am . I think you will be.

Susi Part of 12 Voices

Hey, not much happening lately!

Thought everyone would like to know that Susi is part of a really wonderful juried exhibition, the Studio Art Quilt Associates' 12 Voices. Here's a link to the opening reception, where you can see some of Susi's pieces! There's also a wonderful catalog (I've seen it; another friend, Ginny Smith is one of the 12 Voices!) Go Susi and Ginny!

No books for a while

I haven't received any books all summer and am anxious to do another one. I found loads of inexpensive hardbooks at Goodwill and am itching to buy them.

Hi in July

Hello all,
I hope Diane got the three books I sent her last week. I can't wait to hear about her class.
I did not get the chance to take a picture of two of the pages I did. In Jean's book, the theme was humorous words of wisdom from women. Since I am not wise, I chose to use a humorous quote from Roseanne. Something about not vacuuming until Sears makes one you can ride on. I did an interior of a room with many, many dust bunnies. I found a button of a baseball, dirtied it up and glued in on with all of the room clutter.
The other book page was Betsy's. The theme was show who you are. This was difficult for me. I play it close to the vest. I thought about my affection, respect and reverence for trees. We have had many trees fall in our neighborhood and yard this summer. I decided I was a willow tree. We had one in my parents yard for many years. I am deeply rooted with family, friends and faith. I am strong, but flexible enough to withstand sorrow and return upright. I try to turn my face to the sun and protect with shade. I am mortal.
OK, way too serious. How is the summer going?

Hello all

I just received an altered book and was enchanted by the pages! Unfortunately it took some sleuthing to figure out who it belonged to. Please remember to note the owner of the book... I now know it is Jo's.
I am excited to announce I have a quilt in a juried art show! My first attempt since I have been doing quilting art. Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick, MD. The piece is called Spring Forward. I will try to figure out how to send a picture.
Hope all is well.
Jan
